The paintings here come from my longtime practice of tramping around with a knapsack full of watercolors and paper and depicting scenes that catch my eye.
Watercolor is not merely a material; it’s more like a collaborator. It has definite opinions about what it wants to do once it’s on the paper. Different weather conditions can give wildly different results. For this reason, watercolor is just a little bit closer to my heart than any other medium.
